The extensive network of cross-country ski tracks in Nassfeld-Pressegger See | Lesachtal | Weissensee offers everything a cross-country skier’s heart desires. Approx. 80 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks, situated between 600 and 1,500 metres above sea level and leading into neighbouring Italy, are waiting around Nassfeld and Lake Pressegger See. Especially beautiful is the Obergailtal panorama cross-country ski track, which lives up to its name and has been the venue for several cross-country skiing marathons already. The 3.5 km long snow-covered Rattendorf cross-country ski track is perfect for beginners.
The Grenzlandloipe track in the Lesachtal Valley is a must. The groomed route, with a few moderate passages, runs along the Gail River. You can adjust duration and length to your individual capability. Thanks to an altitude of between 1,200 to 1,500 metres, the Grenzlandloipe track is one of most snow-reliable cross-country ski tracks in Carinthia and Tyrol.
The sun-favoured and mist-free Weissensee Valley is crossed by a network of dual & skating cross-country ski tracks. Directly next to the lake are practicing cross-country ski tracks for beginners and the very popular Seewiesenloipe track. Further uphill leads the 10 km long Franz Josephs Höhe cross-country ski track or at the Tschabitscher to 1,074 m above sea level. You can test your level of fitness on the panorama cross-country ski track, which you can access by using the Weissensee Mountain Railway. The "Husky" cross-country ski track is for everyone who likes to be out and about on holiday with their dog.
