As the icing on the cake, the family-run hotel is just 500 metres from the nearest lifts in the "Dolomiti Superski" area and is also the ideal starting point for romantic winter hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Steffi and Michael Malfertheiner are true children of the Seiser Alm – and have been connected to the cross-country ski trail since they were little. Today, daily laps in the snow are part of their daily ritual, which fills them with energy and happiness. Both are passionate cross-country skiers: Steffi complements her experience with her knowledge as a qualified yoga teacher and offers valuable insights into body awareness, breathing and the flow of movement. Michael is the technical and equipment expert, who supports guests with tips on classic and skating techniques, as well as on planning the perfect route.
They know their home region like the back of their hand: they particularly enjoy skiing directly from the Hotel Ritsch along the cross-country trail to Hartl and on to the Joch – sometimes as a relaxed beginner’s tour, sometimes as a challenging day’s outing. The greatest perk of this is that the cross-country trails start right outside the hotel door. Guests therefore benefit not only from genuine insider knowledge, but also from hosts who authentically live out and share their passion for the sport.
