A whole weekend dedicated to cross-country skiing: from 9 to 11 January 2026, Alta Pusteria will once again be transformed into a centre of Nordic skiing. The 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon, known as one of the most challenging races in the Dolomites, is celebrating its 50th anniversary - with exciting competitions, impressive scenery and plenty of emotion.
The event kicks off with the Opening Day on Friday in the Nordic Arena Toblach, where children and youngsters will celebrate the opening of the event with the Mini Marathon - accompanied by an opening ceremony and balloon glow.
The big Classic Race over 62 and 30 kilometres follows on Saturday, starting in Sesto and Dobbiaco and finishing in Villabassa. Both professionals and amateurs compete on the picturesque but challenging trails through the heart of the Dolomites.
The crowning finale is the Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge on Sunday: a 30-kilometre skating race with a spectacular 7-kilometre ascent up to 2,031 metres above sea level to Prato Piazza - a real highlight for endurance fans.
