The central Nordic Centre is located in the Kranjska Gora, Planica & Tamar region: among the highest Slovenian summits you’ll find a great territory with a 31 km network of cross-country ski trails up to 1,300 m. It starts right in the centre of the town – because cross-country skiing isn’t a niche sport here! – day and night, in winter and in summer.
Bohinj is known as the host venue of the 1st cross-country skiing World Cup in 1986 and for its 70 km network of cross-country ski trails incl. high-altitude trails. Professionals from the Slovenian skiing association train on World Cup routes at the Rogla cross-country skiing centre. And yet beginners and families will also find their 20 km cross-country ski trail territory here.
The biathlon centre on the Pokljuka plateau provides perfect training conditions and 30 km of variety. Beginners should try the Logar Valley with 10 km of prepared natural cross-country ski trails and also the traditional Jezersko on the Austrian border.
