The ski touring courses in the Passeier Valley offer the ideal opportunity to learn the basics of ski touring or to build on your existing skills. The focus is on avalanche safety, route planning and how to behave safely in winter terrain. The combination of theory and practice provides essential knowledge for safe ski touring whilst also offering unforgettable experiences of nature in the winter mountain landscape of the Passeier Valley.
Course programme
The series of events comprises three coordinated course days, which can be booked flexibly as individual days or as a 2- or 3-day package.
Day 1 – Avalanche Awareness & Safety
The first day of the course covers the basics of snow and avalanche science. Alongside avalanche transceiver training, the focus is on assessing avalanche risk and important safety measures in the terrain.
Day 2 – Ski Touring in Practice
The second day of the course takes participants straight out into the terrain. Topics such as route planning, route selection and assessing current conditions are taught in a practical manner during a guided ski tour.
Day 3 – Group Ski Tour
On the third day of the course, the skills learnt are applied and consolidated during a further guided ski tour.

Registration must be completed by 4.30 pm, two days before the event.
