Lungau Cross-Country Skiing Days

From 25 to 28 January 2027, the Lungau region of Salzburg will be all about cross-country skiing. At the Lungau Cross-Country Skiing Days, athletes from Austria and abroad come together to showcase their skills in exciting competitions. Yet this event is about far more than sporting achievements: community, fairness and active inclusion are at the heart of this long-standing event organised by Special Olympics Austria.

Participants will compete in cross-country skiing across various ability groups. Festive moments will be provided by the opening ceremony in Tamsweg and the prize-giving ceremonies, where sporting achievements will be celebrated in style. Spectators are also very welcome and can experience the special atmosphere first-hand.

Anyone keen to try cross-country skiing themselves can – subject to the competition rules – take part in the open cross-country skiing competition. In this way, the Lungau Cross-Country Skiing Days combine sporting ambition with social interaction and a strong sense of community.
