The cross-country ski trails are spread across the entire region and connected with each other. You have the choice between romantic routes (e.g. in the Fischlein Valley) not far from the famous Three Peaks of Lavaredo, panoramic cross-country ski trails with summit views of the Plätzwiese, or sporty World Cup cross-country ski trails and legendary cross-country events.
Cross-country skiers can enjoy genuine natural cinema on the Plätzwiese high-altitude trail at 2,000 m. Anyone who prefers to take their trips in the evening can use the illuminated Nordic Arena in Toblach, which attracts international cross-country skiing stars every year. A further highlight is the cross-country trail in the Höhlenstein valley: as you travel past Lake Toblach and towards Cortina you’ll enjoy views of the impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo.
