Winter sports in Trentino
The North Italian Trentino borders South Tyrol to the north, Veneto to the south and east and Lombardy to the west. The province is famous for Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. The forested mountainous landscapes and the plateaus turn into a paradise for winter sportsmen and women in winter. There is a total of thirteen cross-country ski centres offering wonderful cross-country ski tracks of all levels of difficulty for skaters and classic cross-country skiers. The cross-country ski areas are part of the SuperNordicSkipass network.
Exciting cross-country events are also regularly staged in Trentino, especially in Val di Fiemme. The region has been the venue of the Trentino Fiemme Ski World Cup three times already. Ski touring fans can look forward to many stunning ski tours, meandering through the province. Especially the Dolomites offer an extensive programme.
