Cross-country skiing in the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm
Covered in deep snow, the wintery Seiser Alm, Europe’s largest mountain plateau with an area of 56 km², is a real paradise for cross-country skiers. All cross-country skiers, whether skaters or classic skiers, beginners or pros, feel at home here in the heart of the Dolomites. A seemingly endless landscape, slightly hilly and with small areas of forest, all surrounded by the impressive Dolomites with Schlern, Plattkofel and Langkofel, promises an unforgettable cross-country skiing experience.
There is a choice of 80 kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks of various difficulty levels. The lengths of the individual tours vary from 2 kilometres for beginners to the 15 kilometres long Jochloipe track - the longest high-altitude cross-country ski track on the Seiser Alm. If that is not enough for you, then you can take the 7.5 km long connecting track to Val Gardena, which is another one of the El Dorados for cross-country skiing fans. All tracks are double or quadruple groomed and can be used for classic and skating style.

Because the largest high-altitude alpine pasture in Europe offers cross-country ski trails at sunny locations between 1,800 and 2,200 m above sea level. Perfect for ambitious high-altitude and endurance training. Perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sunshine.
And alongside the beauty of the countryside, the Dolomite region also has a lot to offer when it comes to culinary pleasure: Countless mountain cabins entice you in to enjoy a break and a spot of traditional local food in the cosy atmosphere of a mountain hut.
Together with Gröden, the Seiser Alm is part of the biggest cross-country skiing-carousel in Europe, Dolomiti NordicSki with more than 900 km network of cross-country ski trails.
