Traumhafte Tiefschneeabfahrt

Ski touring: off-piste winter sports in Nassfeld-Pressegger See - Lesachtal | Weissensee

The sun blessed region is just perfect for your ski touring holiday. In the Lesachtal Valley and around Kötschach-Mauthen, you will find the most beautiful ski tours in a pristine landscape. For example, an easy, but very beautiful tour in Kötschach-Mauthen leads to the Dolomites Hut where you will find easy piste downhill runs and fantastic deep-snow slopes. If your level of fitness is already quite good, then you must try the challenging tour uphill to the Rauchkofel: A unique panorama with view to the rugged Carnic peaks awaits in 2,460 metres above sea level.

Through the forest, across alpine meadows and open terrain: The ski tour from St. Lorenzen in the Lesachtal Valley uphill to the Riebenkofel offers everything that lets a ski tourer’s heart beat faster. The ascent leads across the Lackenalm and continues with a moderate climb in northern direction uphill to the Lacken Cross. After a few metres on the summer trail, winter sportsmen and women find themselves in steep open terrain leading downhill in hairpin bends. The southern slope, with a 40-degree gradient uphill to the peak, must be conquered afterwards. Finally, the reward for all efforts is waiting in 2,386 metres above sea level: a stunning view. If you want to treat yourself to something special at the end of the day, then visit the Almwellness Resort Tuffbad. Relaxation will come easily with a traditional bread steam bath, in the Brennstadl sauna or in the Kraxen oven.
