The Marcialonga is the longest classic cross-country ski race in Central Europe and leads right through the impressive landscape of the Dolomites.
The legendary classic cross-country ski race for everyone leads across 70 km through the entire Fiemme and Fassa Valley. Thousands of "bisons" (that is what the amateur skiers of the Marcialonga are jokingly called) take part every year. Especially exciting is the steep ascent from the waterfall to the finish in Cavalese. The race is almost always decided here in this section.
Many supporting programmes have been added to the Marcialonga over the years. This big event starts with:
- Marcialonga Story: only cross-country skiing equipment from before 1976 is used here
- Mini Marcialonga: for children aged 6 to 12
- Marcialonga Young
- Marcialonga Baby: for the youngest up to the age of 6
